Davis Commends New Caroline County Website Local lawmaker encourages people to log onto Founders of America.org (Washington, DC) - Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis today commended the Caroline County Department of Economic Development & Tourism's new website - FoundersofAmerica.org, and encouraged people to log onto this important and exciting new site. The website, posted by the department, was created to educate visitors about the rich history of the Commonwealth of Virginia. "FounderofAmerica.org provides information for tourists planning to visit historic sites across the Commonwealth," said Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis (VA-01). " In addition to in-depth tourist information, the site provides insight into the lives of some Virginia's great leaders and our Nation's Founding Fathers," added Davis. Rep. Davis noted that the site provides a location for all of Virginia's early American tourism assets, including both major attractions and community attractions. The site also contains an interactive map for trip planning, and site selection for vacations. "This site is also an educational tool, featuring Virginia's Founders and their vast accomplishments," added Davis. "This includes links to text of America's historical documents as well as presidential biographies, starting with Virginia's own - George Washington," added Davis. Davis said that the site also is a center for commerce, offering an array of Virginia products from local businesses. This blend of local marketing and historical tributes makes FoundersofAmerica.org an exciting new site. "It's an honor to recognize Foundersof America.org," said Davis. "The website provides helpful tourist and commerce information, as well as education information about Virginia's contributions to our Nations founding," added Davis. ### | |
